CPUIdle Tab

Please note that all CPUIdle questions should be directed to Andreas Goetz and any questions about MBM to me

If all options here are disabled then CPUIdle has not been detected on your PC.

Settings

Selected Sensor;

default := Sensor 1;
Here you have to select your CPU sensor, this can be different per motherboard, so make sure you select the correct sensor to be monitored.

Launch CPUIdle when Sensor has reached x;

default := Unchecked; 50░C / 122░F
Checking this option will make MBM Launch CPUIdle if the selected senor has reached the selected value This Feature works 100% with CPUIdle 5.0, if you have an earlier version then it will only work if that version has written to the registry. To make CPUIdle do this go to the option screen, uncheck the splash screen and press OK. (if you want the splahs screen back then just turn it on again.) Close and reopen MBM to make MBM try to re-detect CPUIdle.

Close CPUIdle when Sensor has reached x;

default := Unchecked; 45░C / 113░F
Checking this option will make MBM Close CPUIdle if the selected senor has reached the selected value

Maybe the above sound a little complicated so here is a little example:

You have determined that your CPU sensor is the WB2 Sensor, so you select this sensor in the Select Sensor dropdown box.

If you keep the Launch Value at 50░C/122░F MBM will try to launch CPUIdle when the WB2 Sensor has reached 50░C/122░F, with enough time for CPUIdle to do it's work so avoiding the 70░C/158░F Alarm of this sensor.

If you keep the Close Value at 45░C/113░F MBM will try to close CPUIdle when the WB2 Sensor has dropped to 45░C/113░F.

If the WB2 sensor should raise again then MBM will again launch CPUIdle at 50░C/122░F ect. etc. etc.

All the above does mean nothing to the Alarm of the selected Sensor, the Alarm will still go off at the set temperature.

Log;

This section will display if/when or why not MBM has launched/Closed CPUIdle

Write CpuIdle Log also in warning log;

default := Unchecked;
If you check this AND you have the warning log turned on in the
Log Tab then all will be written on the warning log as well

The Recycle bin will erase the log and reset MBM to it's start value as far as CPUIdle is concerned, this means that if CPUIdle has already been launched and you press Reset it will launch it again. This button is a button you normaly do not need to use.
